Amazon is allegedly preparing to end sales of two well-known streaming video products because they don’t assistance Amazon’s own Primary Video service. One of them is Google ChromeCast HDMI dongle, while the other is the Apple TV set-top box.
The big hot news is this, No new results for the products will be allowed and publishing of current stock will be removed Oct. 29, Amazon said. Amazon’s streaming video service, called Prim Video doesn’t run easily on rival’s devices. “Over the last three years, Prime Video has become a significant part of Prime” Amazon said in the e-mail. “It’s essential that the online movies players we sell interact well with Prime Video to avoid customer misunderstandings.”
Amazon recently released new editions of its competing Fire TV and Fire TV streaming movie items, which of course assistance the support. Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4 will also remain on Amazon’s site because they each assistance Prime Video. It isn’t clear if sales of Android TV items, which also don’t assistance Amazon’s movie support, will be stopped.
Of course, part of the fault for Prime video’s lack of accessibility of these systems has to area on Amazon itself, particularly in the case of ChromeCast and Android TV. Google makes the resources available for any streaming service to be on these systems, and isn’t restricted Amazon from including support.
