Once again Google release breaking news, the Company started to move out a remodeled edition of its Play Store on Friday. The upgrade contributes a remodeled homepage with horizontal scrolling and better search and finding features. The most recognizable distinction is the Play Store’s homepage, which separates promotions into two sections: Applications, Games and entertainment. The entertainment area will house Google Play’s selection of music, films, books, TV shows and other content, promotions while apps and games is where you’ll find smart phone and tablet apps.
The modified Play store also uses horizontally scrolling to help you to surf rather than scrolling down; you can run left and right to get around between segments of the app. It also contributes a new row at the top that features the new and modified content in the store.
Behind the scenes, Look for Google has also been working on other features to improve search and discovery within the Play Store, like better recommendations and more relevant search results. The company has also emphasized its family appeal recently. Look for Google added a new age based rating system for developers and a family friendly experience within Look for Google Play a few months ago.
As with other up-dates for the Play Store, this one will move out progressively to Android customers over the next few several weeks. The new look is hardly the most impressive transformation Android’s app store has gotten over the years.
