CLEMSON, S.C. – Catcher Frank Okey (Mount Dora, Fla.) has approved an invites from USA Football to perform for the 2015 College Nationwide Group july.
In 2015, his sophomore year at Clemson, he was known as First-Team All-ACC, becoming the first Competition to generate first-team awards as a catcher since 1997 (Matthew LeCroy). Okey is reaching .320 with 16 enhances, 12 homers, 55 RBIs and a .391 on-base amount in beginning all 59 activities at catcher.
Okey performed for the USA College Nationwide Group during summer year time year of 2014, when he hit .286 with four enhances, one homer, six RBIs and a .407 on-base amount in 22 activities. He was second on the group in on-base amount and 4th in reaching regular. He also went 2-for-3 with two RBIs to cause the group to success in the silver honor game in The Holland, where he was known as “Mr. Well-known.”
During two of his summertime after his preparation periods at Eustis High University, Okey performed on the USA 18U Nationwide Group for two gold-medal-winning teams.
The College Nationwide Group performs activities against China Taipei, Cuba and North america on U.S. ground. The College Nationwide Group starts perform June 20.
