Michael Sam came in Montreal to perform in the Canada Soccer Group and said Wednesday that he’s not targeted on creating record or a public declaration.
The first freely gay gamer in the NFL and now the CFL just wants to get on the area after deciding upon a two-year agreement with the Alouettes a couple weeks ago.
Sam was chosen in the 7th circular of the 2014 NFL Set up out of Mo and went to coaching camping with the St. Louis Rams before being cut during the preseason. He captured on with the Facilities Cowboys’ exercise team but was published in Oct.
“I’m not trying to really do anything ancient here by being with Montreal. I’m just trying to help the group win some activities so we can carry the Greyish Cup at house,” Sam said at a information meeting.
The 25-year-old Sam experienced problems in the NFL because at 6 legs 2, 260 weight, he did not exactly fit the model of a protecting end or an outside linebacker. But Sam and the Alouettes are expecting he can become a successfully pass rusher in the CFL.
“My dimension suits as a pass-rusher,” said Sam, the 2013 SEC Defensive Player of the Season. “I led my group in preseason in products and that was in the NFL, so I’m a pass-rusher. Doesn’t issue where I’m at.”
